Dhani Kutiya Beauty Parlour

I am here at the Aliganj shop every day from morning until late evening. This beauty parlour started because I wanted something for myself in Lucknow. It’s not a huge place, just a few chairs and some mirrors, but we keep it clean. People from around the colony come by for the usual stuff like eyebrows or a quick haircut before a party. Sometimes it gets really crowded on Sundays and everyone has to wait on the bench outside, but nobody really minds because they all know each other. I handle most of the bridal makeup myself when the season starts. We have those old posters of hairstyles on the walls that have been there since we opened. The fan makes a bit of noise but it keeps the place cool enough. I don't really do much advertising, mostly just people telling their neighbors about us. It’s just a simple setup where you can come and get your hair done without paying too much. I try to keep enough towels ready and make sure the floor is swept after every cut. Living and working here in Aliganj feels right because everything is nearby. We use regular products that people trust. If you stop by, you'll probably see me sitting near the counter checking the register or helping a client with their hair color. It’s just a normal day-to-day business for us and we keep going regardless of how busy the street gets outside.
