Devi Beauty Parlours

Devi Beauty Parlours is located on the Main Road in Preeti Nagar, Lucknow. It’s a pretty easy place to spot if you are driving through the area. I opened this shop because I saw there wasn't a reliable place for the women in Preeti Nagar to get their regular beauty work done. We offer all the standard things like haircuts, coloring, threading, and skincare. The shop is a simple one-room setup with a few chairs and mirrors. I’ve tried to make it look nice with some curtains and a bit of paint, but it's nothing too extravagant. I like it that way because it makes people feel more at home when they visit. Most of our customers are locals who come in once or twice a month. We have a lot of regular conversations about what’s going on in Lucknow and how the neighborhood is changing. I do most of the threading and facials myself, and I have a helper for the hair washes and cleaning up the floor. We don't have a website or any big posters outside. Our business mostly comes from people walking by on the Main Road or from one lady telling another about us. It’s a slow and steady kind of business. We open on time, keep the place clean, and try to be as helpful as we can to anyone who walks in. It’s just a normal part of life here in this corner of Lucknow for us and our customers.
