Conley Beauty Parlour

Conley Beauty Parlour is right there in the Shahid Complex at the Polytechnic area of Indira Nagar in Lucknow. If you are at the Polytechnic Chauraha, you are basically right there. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is always a lot of noise and movement outside the shop. We’ve been operating out of this complex for a while. The space is filled with the usual stuff you’d find in a beauty parlour—chairs, mirrors, and all the various bottles and tools. It’s a small place but it serves the local crowd well. Indira Nagar is a big area, but being at the Chauraha makes it easy for people to drop in while they are commuting or running errands. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything. It’s just us in the shop from morning until evening. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, and other days it feels like everyone in Lucknow decided to come in at once. We handle hair, skin, and whatever else comes up. The Shahid Complex has its own rhythm, and we are just one part of it. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just work with our hands and try to make sure people leave looking a bit better than when they walked in. It’s a practical business for a practical neighborhood. The lighting isn't great, but we make it work.
