The shop isn't very large, but we’ve made use of every corner. The air conditioner works hard during the Lucknow summers, though sometimes the voltage is too low for it to run properly. We have a few stations set up for hair and skin stuff. The walls are painted a light color to make it feel a bit bigger than it actually is. I spend a lot of time organizing the bottles and jars on the shelves. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this running, especially when things break or the water stops running for an hour. Most of the customers are regulars who live in the nearby blocks of Indira Nagar. We don't have any fancy receptionists or anything like that. You just walk in and wait your turn on the bench near the door. It’s a straightforward business. We focus on getting the job done so people can get on with their day. It’s been a good few years here in this market.
