Charakya Tutorial

Charakya Tutorial is located on Hairdoi Road in the Thakurganj area of Lucknow. The 226003 pin code is a bit of a trek from the main city center, but it’s a lively neighborhood. The road outside can get pretty hectic with all the bikes and trucks moving through. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now, and we’ve gotten to know the shopkeepers nearby quite well. Our space inside is pretty basic. We have a few rooms divided by thin partitions so we can run different sessions at the same time. You can often hear the murmur of voices from the next room over. We don’t have any fancy carpets or designer furniture. It’s just plastic chairs and wooden tables that are easy to move around when we need more space. Thakurganj has its own pace, and we try to keep up with it. We spend a lot of time organizing notes and making sure the place is clean before the students arrive in the evening. Most of the people who come to us live within walking distance or take a short rickshaw ride. It’s a local operation, through and through. We deal with the usual issues like leaky taps or flickering lights ourselves when we can. It’s just a regular part of running a tutorial center on a busy road like Hairdoi. We try to keep things honest and just do the work. It is not always perfect but we are here every day. We usually sweep the floors ourselves.
