Canossian Foundation India

Our place is located on Kukrail Picnic Spot Road, over in Faridi Nagar. If you know Lucknow, you know the road can get a bit busy, especially when people are heading out toward the picnic area on the weekends. The Canossian Foundation India office is right there in the middle of it all. It’s a decent-sized building, nothing too flashy, but it does the job for us. Usually, the President is around or someone from the staff is handling the paperwork. We spend a lot of time just keeping things moving. The 226015 area is pretty active, so there’s always something going on outside the windows. We’ve got a few desks and some filing cabinets that are getting pretty full lately. Sometimes the electricity acts up, which is just part of living in this part of Uttar Pradesh, I guess. We keep a fan going mostly. It’s not the quietest spot because of the traffic on the road, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of scooters and cars passing by all day. We keep the gate shut mostly to keep the stray dogs out, but if you knock, someone is usually there to let you in. It’s a practical setup. We don't spend much on decorating, so the walls are just a plain off-white color. We’ve got some calendars pinned up to keep track of the dates and deadlines. It’s just our daily workspace here in Faridi Nagar.
