Benhar Club Salon

Benhar Club Salon is located in the Munshi Pulia area of Indira Nagar in Lucknow. We are situated quite close to the Jama Mashzid, which is a major point of reference for everyone in this neighborhood. My days usually begin with the sound of the city waking up around us. The shop is a simple place where we provide haircuts and shaves for the local men and boys. Lucknow has its own pace, and we try to stick to that. It’s not a fancy club like the name might suggest to some, but rather a community spot where people feel at home. We have a few old-style barber chairs and the tools we’ve used for a long time. The floor is usually covered in a bit of hair by midday, but we sweep it up when we get a chance. People come in to talk about their families or the local news while they wait their turn. We don't have any big goals other than doing a decent job for the person in the chair. The walls are plain, and the lighting is just enough to see what we’re doing. It’s a small business, and we like it that way. Being near the mashzid means we see a lot of people passing by every day, and many of them have become regulars over the years.
