Benhar Beauty Saloon

Benhar Beauty Saloon is located in the Sahar Complex, specifically at Shop No. 3 and 4. We are in Indira Nagar, Lucknow, which is a fairly large area. The landmark we usually tell people is the Jama Masjid, as it’s quite close to us. Our address is 226016. Having two shop units gives us a bit more room than some of the other places in the complex. One side is mostly for the hair stuff and the other side is for beauty work. It’s a practical setup. The floors are hard tile and the chairs are the heavy kind that last forever. We don’t have fancy decorations on the walls, just the mirrors and the equipment we use every day. Indira Nagar is a busy place, and the Sahar Complex always has people coming and going from the different shops. You can hear the call to prayer from the masjid nearby, which marks the time for us throughout the day. We have a couple of staff members who have been here a long time. We drink a lot of chai and talk about whatever is in the news while we work. The windows get a bit of steam on them when the weather is humid. It’s just a local Lucknow shop where we do our best with the tools we have. We keep things simple and try to stay busy. Sometimes we have to move the chairs around to make room for more people to sit.
