Barber The Salon

So, we are over here at Barber The Salon on Ring Road. It is near the Khurram Nagar Chauraha, which stays pretty busy most of the time. This shop in Lucknow has been around for a bit now. We just come in every morning, open up the metal shutters, and start getting things ready for whoever walks in. There is a lot of dust from the road sometimes, so we spend a good amount of time cleaning the glass and the chairs before the first person arrives. It is a simple setup with three chairs and big mirrors. Sometimes the fan makes a little noise but it keeps the air moving. People from Khurram Nagar stop by while they are out running errands or heading home from work. We don't have fancy stuff, just the basic tools and a place to sit. It gets crowded on weekends, especially in the evenings when everyone wants a trim. The lights outside the Chauraha are bright at night. We mostly talk about the weather or the traffic while we work. It’s just a normal place where you can get your hair done without any fuss. Sometimes the tea guy from next door brings over some chai and we take a quick break if nobody is waiting. Lucknow is getting hotter lately so the cooler is always running. That's pretty much how it goes here every single day on the Ring Road. Nothing too special, just work.
