Awadh Mens Parlour

Awadh Mens Parlour is located on 60 Feet Road, over in the Jankipuram Extension area of Lucknow. We are quite close to the Pioneer Montessory School, so we often see parents and kids walking by during the morning and afternoon. The shop is a basic place for men to get a haircut or a shave. It isn’t very big, but we have enough space for a few chairs and a small bench for people to wait. I keep the tools on a small tray next to each station. The 226031 area is growing fast, and more houses are popping up every day, which means more people coming into the shop. Sometimes the fan oscillates a bit loudly, but it keeps the place cool when the Lucknow heat gets to be too much. I usually have a news channel running on a small TV in the corner so people have something to look at. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a polished front desk. It’s just a neighborhood barber shop where you can come as you are. I try to keep the place as clean as I can, but with people coming in and out all day, there’s always a bit of a mess to clean up at night. It’s a good spot to hear what’s happening in Jankipuram.
