Avadh Competitive Academy

Being near the Piccadily Hotel makes it easy for people to find us. Bara Birwa is a very well-known spot in Alambagh. The hotel is huge, so we just tell people to look for that landmark. Our academy is right in that vicinity. It’s a busy part of Lucknow with all the hotels and the traffic coming from the airport side. The noise is constant, but you stop noticing it after an hour. The building we are in is quite old. We have a few rooms filled with those long benches. I usually get here early to make sure everything is ready. The tea man downstairs knows my order by heart now. We spend most of our time looking at competitive exam books and papers. The air can get a bit stuffy in the summer, so we keep the coolers running as much as we can. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everyone who comes in and out. Alambagh is a hub for this kind of thing. We aren't trying to be fancy. The chairs are mismatched and the whiteboard has some stains that won't come off. But it works for what we need. People come here because it’s a convenient location in Bara Birwa. We just provide the space and the time for them to sit and study their materials. That’s about it. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. Just some rooms and books.
