Ashasai Janhit Foundation

We’re based out of Gomti Nagar in Lucknow, specifically 6/452 Vineet Khand-6. It’s a decent area, quite active. Ashasai Janhit Foundation started because we saw a gap in how things were being handled locally. We aren't experts in everything, but we know our community well. Lucknow is a big city, and it's easy for people to get lost in the shuffle. We try to make sure that doesn't happen. Our office isn't anything special, just a regular place where we meet and talk. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when everyone is talking at once, but that's just the energy of the place. We don't have a marketing team or people telling us what to say. We just say it like it is. Some days are slow, and we just catch up on things. Other days, we’re running around from morning till night. We've been here for a while now, and people have started to recognize us. It’s nice when someone waves to you on the street because you helped them out once. We don't look for awards or anything. Just being useful is enough. The weather here can be a bit much sometimes, but we’re used to it. We keep our doors open for anyone who needs to talk or find some help with local issues. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a couple of rooms where we get the work done. It suits us just fine.
