Artistry Beauty Parlour

Our little place, Artistry Beauty Parlour, is tucked away in Brij Village, specifically at D Block Old. If you are heading down Picnic Spot Road in Lucknow, you might miss us if you aren't looking, but we have been part of this neighborhood for some time now. The room is not very big, just a couple of chairs and the usual mirrors on the walls. Mostly it is just us working on threading or maybe some simple hair styling when there is a wedding nearby. The village area has its own pace, so things aren't always rushing like they do in the main city. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open the door wide to let the light in so we can finish what we started. It gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep the floors swept every hour. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just a small board outside the door at 1146. It is mostly the ladies from the surrounding houses who come by to chat and get their eyebrows done while the kids are at school. It’s a quiet life here on Picnic Spot Road. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by name. It feels more like a small community hub than a business. We just keep our tools clean and our hands busy with whatever work comes our way each day. Often, we share some tea with the regulars while waiting for the hair dye to set.
