Aps Parlour

We are over here at Sriram Road in Aminabad. If you know where the Swadeshi Market is, you probably passed by us already. We are at G-3, right near that SBI ATM which always has a bit of a line out front. It’s a busy part of Lucknow, honestly. Most days it’s just the sound of traffic and people shouting outside. I’ve been working here at Aps Parlour for a long time now. It’s not one of those huge places with glass walls and fancy lights. We just have our mirrors and the basic tools we need to get the job done. People stop in while they are out doing their shopping or waiting for someone at the bank. It gets quite hot in the summer, so the ceiling fan is always on high speed. Sometimes the power goes out, but that’s just how it goes here. We don’t do any of that fancy marketing stuff. If you need a quick trim or something for your hair, we just do it and that’s that. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast so I’m always sweeping it up. It’s a small space but it’s ours. Most of our customers live right around the corner or work in the nearby shops. We know their names and what they like. It’s nothing special, just a regular shop in a crowded market. We open up in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night.
