Aps Mehendi Arts is right in the middle of Aminabad, which is one of the busiest parts of Lucknow. We are at Shop No 5 in the Swadeshi Market on Shri Ram Road. You can find us easily if you look for the SBI ATM nearby. We specialize in mehendi, obviously. It’s a small shop because you don’t need much space to apply henna, just a couple of stools and good lighting. Aminabad is always crowded, especially during festival seasons, so it can get quite hectic around the market. We’ve been sitting here for years, drawing designs for brides and girls for Karwa Chauth or just for fun. It’s a very traditional kind of work. We don't use fancy machines, just our hands and the cones we prepare. The market has a lot of history and we feel like a small part of that. People come from all over Lucknow to Aminabad for shopping, and they often stop by our little spot. It’s a bit noisy with all the shoppers and vendors outside, but that’s just the charm of Shri Ram Road. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. It’s plain, simple, and we just enjoy the art of it. We stay busy with the local crowds and try to keep our designs interesting for everyone.
