Amit Hair Dresses

Amit Hair Dresses has been sitting here in Triveni Nagar-2 for some time now. We are located right along the Sitapur Road area in Lucknow, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the cars passing by. It is a men’s hair shop, plain and simple. We have the usual chairs and the old-style razors for shaves. People from around the neighborhood stop in mostly for a quick trim or to get their beard sorted out. It isn't a place for anything fancy. Most of our regulars are guys who have been coming here since they were kids. We keep a few old newspapers around for people to read while they wait their turn. The shop is small and can get pretty warm in the summer, but the fan keeps things moving a bit. We don't have a receptionist or a computer to book things. You just show up and wait for a chair to open. That is how we have always done it. It is just Amit and a couple of others working here most days. We focus on the work and don't worry much about anything else. If the shop is full, people just stand outside on the sidewalk and chat. It is a good way to keep up with what is happening around Sitapur Road. We try to keep the floor swept, though it’s hard when it gets really busy on Sunday mornings.
