Alp Management Consultants is based out of Sushila Bhawan in Lucknow. It’s an old-style building, the kind you find in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We spend our time working on consulting stuff, mostly helping people figure out how to run their businesses better. It’s not always easy work, sitting in the office while it's boiling outside. We’ve got a few desks and a lot of papers stacked up. Lucknow is a bit slower than the big cities, but we stay busy enough. People call us or drop by the Bhawan to talk about their management issues. We don’t use those big fancy words you see on TV. We just tell it like it is. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we end up talking more than typing. We’ve been here for a bit now. Most of our clients are locals or from nearby towns. We know the area well. The office has a certain smell of old files and tea. We drink a lot of tea here. It helps with the long afternoons. We just want to get the work done and go home to our families. It’s a simple setup at Sushila Bhawan. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or anything. Just us, some computers, and a lot of work to get through before the day ends. It’s practical, honest work and we like it that way. There is always more to do tomorrow, so we don't rush the small stuff.
