Down on Raibareilly Road in the Vrindavan Awash Vikash Yojanaraibareilly area, you’ll find us at 11A/176. Aloki Consultancy Private Limited is our little venture. We’ve been in this part of Lucknow for a while now, watching the buildings go up and the roads get busier. The office itself is pretty basic. We have a couple of computers, some desks that have seen better days, and a lot of folders. We focus on consultancy work, which means we spend a lot of time looking at numbers and regulations. It isn’t always the most exciting thing in the world, but it’s what we’re good at. People come to us when they’re confused about their business plans or need some advice on how to handle certain growth issues. We try to explain things in a way that makes sense, without all the jargon. The tea stall around the corner is where we get most of our afternoon caffeine. Sometimes we have meetings there instead of in the office because it’s just more relaxed. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us working hard and trying to do right by the people who hire us. If the door is open, someone is usually inside working on a report. It’s a steady life and we’re happy with how things are going in this neighborhood.
