Al Abrish Educational & Social Welfare Foundation

We are set up in Flat No. 1204, which is in the Almond-A building of Omaxe Residency-I. It is out in Arjunganj, specifically the Sarsawan area, quite close to the UP Police Headquarters. Being in a residential complex makes it a bit different than a typical office, but it keeps us close to the families we are trying to help. We do a mix of educational work and social welfare stuff. It’s a lot of organizing and trying to get kids the resources they need for school. Some days it feels like we are just drowning in books and forms, but we manage to stay on top of it. Our group is small and we don't have any corporate backing or anything like that. We just use what we have and try to make it stretch as far as it can. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, or we have trouble getting visitors through the security gate, but we make it work. We aren't experts in everything, we just learn as we go and try to be helpful to the people around us. It’s a quiet place to work most of the time, which helps when we are trying to plan things out. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just see a need and try to fill it, whether it's helping a student with their studies or supporting a family through a tough patch. It is honest work and we do it gladly from our little flat.
