We have been over at M 2/55 in Jankipuram for a while now doing civil work and fixing up interiors for people around here. Most days involve us running around different sites or looking at floor plans on a messy desk. It is dusty work sometimes, but that is just how construction goes when you are knocking down walls or putting up new ones in an old house. We aren't a big office with people in suits, just a small group of us who know how to handle bricks, cement, and wood. If you walk past the place in Jankipuram, you will see us mostly busy with something. We deal with the usual stuff like plumbing, tiling, and making sure the kitchen cabinets actually fit where they are supposed to go. Sometimes things take longer than we want because the materials don't show up on time from the suppliers, but we get it done in the end. It's just a regular local business trying to do honest work. We handle the small repairs and the bigger renovation jobs too. It's mostly about showing up and getting the hands dirty. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything, just some desks and samples lying around the office. We have seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. Most of our tools stay in the back of the trucks. We just focus on the job at hand and making sure the walls are straight. It's a simple way of working.
