Our place is in Tiwari Complex, right on the first floor near the Vijay Nagar Choraha. It is a very lively spot in Lucknow, especially during rush hour when the noise from the traffic is constant. If you find the Siddharth Palace, you are pretty much there at Sai Interior Consultant. We are just a local business. We have a lot of books about design and old catalogs that we have kept for years because you never know when you might need to look something up again. The chairs in the waiting area are a bit old, and the tea we make is usually too sweet, but it is where we do all our thinking. We don't have any fancy posters on the walls, just some calendars and a few sketches we are working on. Most days are spent talking to suppliers or trying to explain to a worker how a certain piece should fit. It isn't always smooth, and sometimes we have to do things twice to get them right. We are honest about what we can do and we don't try to promise things that aren't possible. It is a small operation, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. We know each other's habits and how we like to work. It’s a bit noisy and a bit dusty, but it’s our spot.
