Abhaya Gents Parlour

I’ve been running Abhaya Gents Parlour for quite some time now. We are tucked away in Ram Vihar Colony, right on Kanpur Road here in Lucknow. If you know where the Uco Bank is, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a simple place. Most days it is just me and the guys sitting around waiting for the next person to walk through the door. I started this because I liked the work and it keeps me busy. People come in for a quick trim or a shave before work. Sometimes they just want to sit for a bit and talk about what is happening in the neighborhood. We don't have fancy chairs or those big TV screens you see in the malls. It is just the basics here. The mirrors are old but they do the job just fine. I try to keep the floor swept, though hair gets everywhere by noon. Most of our regulars have been coming since we first opened. They don't even have to tell me what they want anymore. I just know. Lucknow is getting busier every day, especially this part near the main road, but inside the shop, things move a bit slower. It’s nice that way. If you are passing by the bank and need a haircut, you can just step in. There is usually a stool free. We don't do appointments much, people just show up.
