You can find Chawntlangpui Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited over in Lawngtlai, right in the Bazar Veng area. We operate out of B. Lalhuma’s place. It’s a busy spot being near the bazar and all. We are just a group of farmers from the village who decided that we should probably start working as one unit. Lawngtlai is a beautiful place but it takes a lot of effort to get anything to market because of the distance. We focus on agro products that grow well in our soil. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or marketing people. It’s just us, the people who actually plant the crops and harvest them with our own hands. We spend a lot of time talking about prices and trying to figure out the best way to get our stuff out to other places across Mizoram. The office isn't much to look at, just a desk and some chairs where we sit and drink tea while we plan the next season. It’s hard work and the sun can be brutal, but we like what we do. If you need to reach us, come to Bazar Veng. We are usually around during the day, unless everyone is out at the farms. We handle things in a very simple way because that’s what works for us. It’s all about the community here and making sure everyone gets a fair deal for their sweat and time.
