Matoshri Bricks Production

You can find Matoshri Bricks Production along the Latur Barshi Road in Murud. We are right there where the traffic moves between Latur and the surrounding towns. It is a very red area because of the soil we use. Everything gets stained that deep red color, from our boots to the trucks. We have a long stretch of land where we layout the raw bricks to bake in the sun. The Latur sun is very strong, which is actually good for our business. It dries the clay out fast. We have a large chimney that you can see from the road. People often stop by just because they saw the smoke or the piles of bricks while driving past. Murud is a small place, so we know most of the people who come to buy from us. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on being here every day. The workers start very early, sometimes at 4 or 5 in the morning, to beat the heat of the afternoon. By noon, most of the heavy molding is done and we spend the rest of the day moving the fired bricks to the storage area. It’s a lot of bending and lifting. We have a small shed where we keep some cold water and sit for a break. It is just a basic brick kiln, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep making bricks for the local builders.
