Govond Engineering

Govond Engineering is situated at Plot No. 48, right across from the Simens factory in the MIDC area of Waluj. Being in an industrial zone like this means we’re surrounded by a lot of heavy manufacturing. There’s always a hum of machinery in the background. Our plot isn't the biggest, but we've squeezed in all the equipment we need. Most of our work involves parts for other businesses around Waluj. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting metal. It’s precise work, though our shop floor might look a bit messy to an outsider. There’s usually a pile of scrap in one corner and a stack of finished pieces in another. The sun can make the workshop pretty hot during the summer, but we keep the fans going and get through the day. We don't have any marketing people or a sales team; it’s just the guys in the shop doing the actual engineering. Most of us have been living in the area for years, so the commute to MIDC is just part of the routine. We usually have a radio playing somewhere to keep things from being too quiet. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves and keep moving. It’s practical, hands-on work that doesn’t require any corporate speeches. We’re just here to do our jobs and go home at the end of the shift.
