Our campus out in Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli, is usually buzzing with people. At the National Institute Of Tourism & Hospitality Management, the day starts early. You see students walking through the gates, talking about their next exams or where they might do their internships. Gachibowli has become such a tech hub lately, but our corner feels a bit different, more focused on the hospitality side of things. We have a lot of space here, which is nice for a change from the cramped city center. The staff spends most of the time in the offices or the lecture halls. It’s a lot of administrative work, keeping the schedules lined up and the facilities running. We have a canteen that gets really crowded around one o’clock, and that’s usually when you hear the most noise. The weather in Hyderabad can be tough in the summer, so we’re thankful for the shade around the grounds. It’s a practical environment. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we just provide a place for people to learn about travel and hotels. Sometimes the internet goes slow or a projector fails, and we just deal with it like anyone else. It’s just the daily grind of running an institute. People come from all over the state to be here, and we try to keep things grounded for them. It’s a lot of work, but we get through it.
