Rangeela Store

Rangeela Store is right in the middle of Shroff Bazar. Finding us is pretty simple if you look for Minara Masjid. We are actually located just below it, near where Vinara Masjid is too. It’s a busy part of the market, always noisy with people and scooters going by all day long. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things quite high. Sometimes it feels like we are living in a maze of boxes. We’ve been here for a long time now. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to close up and do it. It’s mostly just us handling everything from opening the shutters in the morning to locking up at night. There is a lot of history in this area, and being under the masjid means we hear the calls for prayer throughout the day. It gives the place a specific rhythm that we have grown used to. We don’t do much talking about ourselves, we just try to have what people are looking for when they walk in. Usually, it's locals who come by, people who have been shopping in Shroff Bazar for years. We know most of them by sight. It gets hot in the summer because the ventilation isn't the best, but we have a couple of old fans that keep things moving. We just keep things simple here. We don't need fancy signs to let people know where we are. We just keep the door open and wait for the regulars to stop by.
