Jaypee Group

Out here in Kutch, we’re located at the GACL Vayor site in Taluka Abdasa. It’s a bit of a trek to get to this part of Gujarat, but this is where we operate. The landscape is mostly flat and can get incredibly hot during the summer months. Jaypee Group has been set up here because of the industrial activity in the area. Our office is functional, built to withstand the salt air and the dust. Inside, it’s mostly just white walls and tile floors that we try to keep clean. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have much in the way of decoration. There are some maps on the wall and a few calendars. The wind blows pretty hard across the open ground outside, so we keep the windows shut tight. Most of our day involves coordinating with the site workers and managing the logs. It’s a long way from any big town, so we have to be self-sufficient. If something breaks, we usually fix it ourselves. The water here tastes a bit different because of the ground, so we keep a big dispenser in the corner. It's a tough place to work sometimes, but it’s what we do. We show up, handle the logistics, and make sure everything stays on track. It’s a quiet, hardworking atmosphere where the clock moves a bit differently than in the city. We usually have our tea in steel tumblers while checking the schedules.
