I'm based out in Dahinsara, which is a small place in the Bhuj area of Kutch. Being an Associat Eng. here is quite different from working in a big city. The landscape is very open, and you can see for miles. My office is a simple building that I’ve set up to handle my engineering work. It’s just me and the local projects that need attention. Kutch is known for its harsh climate, so my workspace is built to stay cool even when the sun is beating down outside. I have a large table where I lay out my plans and a computer for the digital side of things. Most of my day is spent traveling to different sites in the Ta-Bhuj region or sitting here working through designs. People from the village often drop by to ask for advice on building something or to talk about a local project. It’s a very community-oriented way of working. I don’t have any fancy signage or a corporate headquarters. It’s just an honest engineering practice in a quiet part of Gujarat. I like the independence of it and the fact that I can see the results of my work right here in the neighborhood. The office is a bit dusty because of the dry wind, but it’s a comfortable place where I can focus and get the job done right. There is always a lot of soil and wind out here, but it's home for my work.
