New Durga Plastics is found at 3-6-95 on Bastipeth Road in Nellikeri. We’ve been here in this part of the city for a while. The shop is on a street that gets a lot of foot traffic. We mainly deal with plastic products. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have a lot of employees, just a couple of us who know the trade. The building is older, but it serves us well enough. We keep our inventory stacked up high to make the most of the space. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific item quickly, but we usually know where everything is. We don't spend much time on decorations. The walls are just plain. We think it’s better to focus on the items we sell. Bastipeth Road is a lively place to be. There are other shops all around us. We often chat with the neighbors while we are loading or unloading goods. It’s not a corporate environment. If a customer comes in, we talk to them like a person, not a sales lead. We’ve seen a lot of changes in Nellikeri over the years, but we’ve stayed right here. We like the familiarity of the address. New Durga Plastics isn't looking to take over the world. We just want to provide what people need and keep the lights on. It’s simple work, and we are happy to be doing it here. When it rains, we have to move some things away from the door, but it's just part of the routine we have. It’s just us doing our thing.
