Sri Selva Ganapathi Cement Works is our small business located on Tiruvannamalai Road in V V Nagar. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and most of the locals know the spot. We mostly deal with cement products, things that people need for their houses and construction projects around town. Working with cement is messy and it takes a lot of patience. You have to get the mix right and wait for things to dry. We aren't a big factory; it's just a local shop where we do things the old-fashioned way. My brother and I started this because we wanted to work for ourselves. V V Nagar is a good place to be, and being on the main Tiruvannamalai Road helps people find us without much trouble. We don't have a sales team or anyone to answer the phones in a professional way. If you call, you’ll probably just get one of us while we are in the middle of something. We try to be helpful, but we aren't polished talkers. We just know our trade. The yard is full of molds and bags of cement, and we’re usually there from early morning. It’s hard work and our hands are always rough, but it provides for the family. We don't make any big promises, we just do what we can to help out our neighbors with their building needs and keep things moving.
