Sri Nandhanam Maritime Academy

We are located out in Tamil Nagar, which is part of Kasinayagampatti in the Tirupathur area. It’s a bit of a drive to get here, but it’s where we have our maritime academy. The place is pretty basic. We have the rooms and the equipment needed for the training, but we don't go for anything fancy. People who want to work on ships come here to learn the basics. We’ve been in Kasinaickenpatti for a while now. The staff here is just a few people who have some experience with the sea. We spend our days going through the training routines and making sure everyone knows what they are doing. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. You won't find any corporate talk or polished brochures here. We just explain how things work and let the students practice. The area around here is mostly quiet, which is good for the students who stay with us. We aren't some big international school. We are just a local academy trying to help people get their start in the maritime industry. Sometimes the weather gets very hot, but we just keep working through it. We don't have a big office with glass windows. It’s more of a practical workshop and classroom setup. We just do the work and hope the students find it useful for their future jobs. It's a simple life out here in Tirupathur. Most days are about drills and checking the equipment, so it isn't very exciting, but it is necessary for the maritime life at Sri Nandhanam Maritime Academy.
