Engineer

Our workshop is at 2/673-4 in M.M. Nagar, right near the Mookandapalli Post in Hosur. Being in the Sipcot area means there are factories and industrial units all around us. It’s a busy part of Tamil Nadu, especially with all the trucks moving in and out of the industrial zone. Engineer is what we call the business, and we’ve been here since the area started growing. The pin code 635126 is well known for manufacturing. Our space is functional, with concrete floors and high ceilings to keep it from getting too stuffy. There is usually the sound of machinery from the neighboring units, so it’s never really quiet. We don't have a fancy lounge for visitors, just a few plastic chairs near the entrance. Most of the time we are busy on the shop floor or looking at technical specs. The dust from the road outside comes in sometimes, but we just sweep it out and keep going. We've got a small team here, and we all know our roles. Working in Hosur means being part of a big network of suppliers and shops. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just come to M.M. Nagar every morning, do the work, and go home. It’s a practical life. There is a canteen nearby where we grab lunch most days, usually in a hurry. The traffic on the way home can be a bit of a challenge, but we are used to it by now.
