Divya Heavy Motor Driving School

I spend most of my time at Divya Heavy Motor Driving School, which is on the 1st Floor of Shanthi Complex. We are in Hosur, Tamil Nadu 635109. Teaching people how to drive heavy vehicles is a different kind of job compared to regular cars. The trucks we use are parked nearby, but the office is where all the paperwork happens. Being on the first floor means I’m constantly walking up and down those stairs at Shanthi Complex. It’s a busy building with a lot of different shops around. Inside our office, we have some posters about road signs and a desk that’s always covered in applications. Hosur is a big industrial area, so there is always a demand for people who can handle large motors. I grew up around trucks, so it felt natural to start this school. The students are often nervous when they first sit in the high cab of a lorry. It’s a lot of responsibility to teach them how to handle that much weight on the road. We don't have any fancy simulators or anything like that. We just get out there and practice on the actual roads. Sometimes the traffic in Tamil Nadu can be a bit much, but that’s the best way to learn really. My wife helps with the accounts in the afternoon while I’m out on the road with a student. It’s a family-run thing and we just keep it simple.
