Our shop is at 4-3-258 on the Vidhyadharapuram Main Road in Kummaripalem. It’s a very busy street, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. We have a lot of hardware items packed into the store. Sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for because we have so many different types of screws, tools, and pipes piled up. I usually know exactly where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. We’ve been in Kummaripalem for quite a while now. The building is right on the main road, so we get a lot of dust from the passing cars. I spend a good part of the morning just dusting off the counters and the display items. We don't have a big staff, just me and a cousin who helps with the heavy lifting. We don’t have an office in the back, just a small stool behind the counter where I sit when there aren't any customers. Most of the people who come in are locals working on their own houses or small contractors who need supplies. We don't bother with fancy receipts or bags. It’s all very simple and direct. We like being part of the neighborhood and seeing the same faces every week. It’s a good life, even if my back hurts a bit at the end of the day from moving the paint buckets around. That is just how it is when you run a shop yourself.
