Natural Marble & Granite

This place, Natural Marble & Granite, is located right by the Dargah area in Bhavanipuram. If you are in Vijayawada or around V D Puram, you have probably passed by our yard at some point. It is a big open space where we keep all the stone slabs. Marble and granite are very heavy things to move, so there is always a crane or someone lifting something with a forklift. The ground is usually covered in some white or grey dust because that is just part of working with stone every day. We have been in this spot for a good bit of time now and we know the neighborhood well. The sun gets quite hot here in Vijayawada, so we try to do the heavy loading early in the morning or later in the evening when it cools down a bit. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or soft chairs. It is more of a rough workspace where the stone comes in from the quarries and then goes out to different building sites nearby. We see a lot of people coming in to look at the different colors and the natural patterns in the rocks. Every piece of granite is a bit different from the next one, which makes the work a little interesting. We mostly just talk to local contractors and people who are fixing up their own houses. It is a very straightforward business. We show what we have in stock, and that is about it.
