If you look for us near the Old Bus Stand in Nandigama, you will find us at D.No. 32-66/3 4. We are right on NH-9, so there is always noise from the trucks passing by. Handling iron is heavy work and our hands are usually dusty by the end of the day. Our yard has stacks of rods and different metal sheets all over the place. It is not the cleanest job but someone has to do it. The sun hits the metal pretty hard in the afternoon. We usually start early before the heat gets too bad. Local people come in looking for stuff for their houses or small construction jobs. We just weigh the material and load it up. Most of the time we are talking to drivers or checking the stock levels. Venkateshwara Iron Traders is a simple operation. We have been at this spot for years and everyone in Nandigama knows the old bus stand area well. The iron comes in on big lorries and we have to get it sorted quickly so the road stays clear. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh while we work, but mostly it is just getting the orders out. We don’t have a big fancy office, just a small desk and some chairs. It is practical and it works for us. We stay busy with the local building work going on around here. It is just a normal day of lifting and shifting metal.
