We’ve been running Andhra Steels for quite some time now over at 22-69, Chandarlapadu Road. If you are looking for us, we are right in the Sri Ramalingeswara Nagar area of Nandigama. Our day usually starts pretty early when the first trucks arrive with supplies. Dealing with steel is heavy and dirty work, there is no way around that. We spend most of our hours unloading beams and rods or cutting things down to the sizes people ask for. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s mostly just a large storage space with a small desk where we keep the ledger. We don't really do much in the way of advertising because most folks around here already know where to find us. When the sun is high in Nandigama, it gets really hot inside the shed, so we try to get the heavy lifting done before noon if possible. Sometimes we run out of certain items and have to wait a week for the next shipment to come in. It can be frustrating for the customers, but that’s just how the supply chain works for us. We just try to be honest about what we have in stock. Most of the people coming in are local builders or guys working on their own houses. We talk about the weather or the local news while we load up their vehicles. It’s a simple life and a simple business.
