Janjanam Mangaladri Industrial Training Institute ( Iti ) sits right on the Main Road in Patnam Bazar. It is a loud place because of all the traffic passing by throughout the day. You can hear the buses honking and the vendors shouting their prices outside the windows. The building itself has been here for quite some time, and the walls inside the J M Iti office could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We have rows of benches and various pieces of equipment for the trainees to work on. It gets pretty crowded during the peak hours of the bazaar. Sometimes we have to shout a little just to be heard over the noise from the street. The floor is made of that old grey stone that stays cool even when the sun is beating down on Patnam Bazar. We keep the registers in an old wooden cabinet that sticks sometimes when you try to open it. It isn't a fancy office with air conditioning everywhere, just a few ceiling fans that wobble a bit. People stop by asking for directions all the time since we are so close to the main landmarks. We just point them the right way and get back to our work with the tools and manuals. It’s a busy life being located right in the heart of the trade area.
