It’s a busy street, so there is always noise from the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on the work. We handle the accounts for various small businesses in the city. It's a very local operation. We don't have a big corporate team; it's more about personal contact. When a client comes in, we usually know their family and how their business has been doing. The office is a bit cramped with all the tax books and documents we have to keep. We don't use any fancy software for everything, sometimes the old-fashioned way of checking things works just as well. People in Andhra Pradesh like to do business face-to-face, so we spend a lot of time talking across the desk. It’s not a polished environment. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the chairs are a bit old. But the work gets done and the numbers are accurate. We stay late during the end of the financial year, like everyone else in this profession.
