We are out here at Plot No 13A in the Kinfra area, right near the Calicut University post office. Vks Verve Nectars Pvt Ltd has been operating from this spot for some time. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but the space is good for what we need. Most days it’s just the sound of the machines and the trucks coming in and out. The weather gets pretty humid, which makes the work a bit tiring. We focus on the nectar side of things. There’s always a lot of cleaning to do. You can’t have a place like this and let it get messy. We have a small team, mostly local people who know the area well. Sometimes the rain hits the metal roof so loud we can barely hear each other talk. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. The road leading up to the plot is a bit bumpy, so you have to drive slow. We’ve had the same neighbors for years. Everyone knows everyone else around here. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing fancy reports. We’re usually on the floor making sure the batches are moving along like they should. It’s a lot of standing and checking labels. Vks Verve Nectars is basically just us doing our daily rounds in Kakkenchery. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s just work.
