Travelogue

Travelogue is situated right near the Juma Masjid in Orkkatteri. It’s a familiar spot for anyone living in the village. The sound of the daily prayers is something we’ve grown used to, and it gives a nice rhythm to our workday. Our space isn’t very large, but it’s enough for what we need. We handle travel arrangements and help people figure out where they need to go. There’s usually a map or two pinned to the wall and plenty of notebooks scattered around. Orkkatteri is a quiet place compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. Most of the people who walk in are neighbors or folks from the next town over. We talk a lot, mostly about routes and timings. It’s a lot of small details that have to be right. The office can get a bit warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. People mostly find out about us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they pass the masjid. We’ve been doing this for a while, just helping out where we can. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here. We just try to stay organized and make sure everyone gets their papers on time. It is a simple life and we enjoy the local connections.
