Gurudev Pipes & Hardwares is sitting at number 587 on K P K Raman Menon Road. It’s a busy street, so there is always a bit of a struggle with parking right in front, but we make do. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of pipes, fittings, and various hardware items. It might look a bit messy to someone who isn't used to it, but there is a system to where everything is kept. We’ve been here long enough that we can usually find what a customer needs just by memory. We don't have a fancy computer system to track every little screw, so we do a lot of it by sight and manual notes. It’s a local business, so we know a lot of the plumbers and contractors who come in every morning. Usually, there is a bit of talk about the local news while we’re counting out the parts. We don't use any big marketing tricks to get people in. They come here because they know we are open and we have the stuff. The building itself is old and has a few cracks in the walls, but it holds up well against the rain. We don't spend much on decorations because the shelves are the main thing. It’s just a place to get what you need for your project and get back to work. We’ve been doing this for years and plan to keep it going.
