Charan Singh & Sons

Our business, Charan Singh & Sons, is run out of Chueriyamundath House in Mangattiri, near the Padi Post office. It’s a family-run thing, which means there’s always someone around to help out. The house has been in the family for generations, and we’ve dedicated part of it to the business. It’s a bit of a trek for some people to find us, but once you’ve been here once, it’s easy enough. We don't have a formal office setup like you’d see in the city. It’s more of a homey environment where we sit around the kitchen table or in the front room to discuss work. We deal with whatever needs doing that day. Being in Mangattiri means we’re a bit removed from the main hustle, which we actually like. It’s peaceful here. We don't have a website or a big advertising budget. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years or word of mouth. We just try to be fair and do what we said we’d do. Sometimes the dogs bark too much when someone pulls up, but they’re just being protective. We take pride in the fact that we’ve kept the business going for so long without needing to change much about how we operate or where we are based. It’s just us doing what we know best and keeping things simple.
