ALUNGAL PROJECTS PRIVATE LIMITED

Alungal Projects Private Limited is located in the Al Abeer Building over on Parayanchery Mavoor Road. Most days here in Kozhikode start with the sound of traffic picking up outside while we get the first batch of tea going. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and the office is getting a bit crowded with all the files and rolls of drawings we keep around. It isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. We just have our desks and some old chairs that have seen better days. Usually, there are three or four of us sitting around talking about what needs to happen at the site today. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons so we keep the fans running high. Sometimes the rain hits the windows so hard you can't hear yourself think, but that's just how it goes here in Kerala. People stop by to drop off papers or just to chat about a job we're working on. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the task in front of us until it's time to head home. The walls have a few old calendars and some stains from where we leaned our chairs back. It feels like home to us even if it's just where we work. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells snacks downstairs. It’s a simple way to spend the day.
