Vee Yem Steel Company

You can find our place at Vee Yem Arcade in Muvattupuzha. We are situated in Kadathi, quite close to the Mekkadambu post office. The building is our own spot where we keep the steel stock. Dealing with steel means a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with the crane when it’s working right. We get a lot of locals from the district coming in for rods or sheets for their building projects. It's not a quiet place because of the metal clanging together all day long. The office is just a small corner where we keep the ledgers and handle the bills. We don't really do much advertising; people just know we are here in the arcade. Sometimes the rain makes it difficult to move the heavier loads, but we have enough cover to keep the stock from getting too rusted. The road outside can get a bit cramped when the delivery trucks are parked there. We usually have a few guys helping with the loading and unloading of the trucks. It’s a straightforward operation. We wake up, open the gates, and see what the orders are for the day. Muvattupuzha is a good place for a business like this because there is always some construction happening nearby. We try to keep the most common sizes in stock so people don't have to wait too long. It’s just us working hard every day to keep things moving. The arcade is easy enough to spot from the main road.
