We are down in Kerala, specifically in the Vellappad area of Pala, Kottayam district. The place is called Ponnumpurayidom. It’s a different pace of life here compared to the big cities. The greenery is everywhere, even around our workspace. We handle the steel requirements for this region, and it keeps us pretty busy most of the week. The building we use is quite simple, and we try to keep it organized, though with all the paperwork, it can get a bit cluttered. We are a small group, and most of us speak the local language and know the local transporters personally. It makes things easier when there’s a delay or a problem with a delivery. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. We have our desks, our phones, and the ledger books. The weather is often rainy, so we spend a lot of time making sure the documents stay dry. It’s a quiet life, but the work is steady. We don't really do any big advertising; people just know we are here in Pala and come to us when they need something done with the metal. We have our tea breaks together and talk about the local news or what’s happening in the district. It’s a friendly, basic way to run a business without any of the big city stress. We like it this way and our customers seem to appreciate the straightforward way we do things here in the hills.
