Manglam Hospital

Down here in Kottayam, things move at their own pace. Our hospital is right in the middle of it all in Kerala. It's a green area, and when it rains, it really pours, sometimes making the walk from the gate a bit wet for everyone. We’ve got a staff that’s been together for years. Some of the nurses grew up just a few streets away. It’s a busy place, but we don't try to make it look like those high-tech hospitals you see in the movies. It’s more of a practical setup. We have patients coming in from all over the district. Some days the lobby is full of families talking and waiting, and other days it’s a bit quieter. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the muddy shoes come through. The building has been here for a while, and it shows its age in some corners, but it holds up well. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures. Usually, one of us just answers the phone and tells people when to come in. Life in Kottayam is steady, and our work here is the same way. We see kids who were born here growing up and bringing their own families back later on. It’s just how it goes in a small town hospital. We keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever needs us to be there.
