LKB GRANITES LLP

Our small operation, LKB GRANITES LLP, is based out of Njeezhoor, near Marangoli P.O. over in the Vaikom area of Kottayam. It’s a quiet part of the world until you get near the yard. We handle a lot of stone every week. The trucks come in through the narrow roads, and we have to be careful with the loading so nothing gets damaged. It’s a hands-on kind of business. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the local roads and the people. We don't spend much time on fancy advertising or anything. Mostly, people just see the sign at No 261/A and stop in to see what we have sitting in the yard. The work is dusty and loud, but that’s just how the granite business goes. We have a couple of crushers and some old loaders that have seen better days, but they still get the job done. Sometimes we run behind when the weather is bad, especially during the monsoon months in Kerala. You can’t really rush things when the ground is soft. We just keep our heads down and work through the orders as they come in. It’s a basic setup, nothing too modern, just enough to keep things moving. We value the fact that we can provide work for a few local families and keep the business running year after year. It is what it is.
