Janki Boutique

Janki Boutique is situated in a slightly quieter spot behind the Collectorate on the Sastri Road Extension. We are right near the Public Club, which makes it easy for people to find us once they get off the main road. It’s a nice area to work in because it isn't as loud as the main junction. I started this boutique because I wanted a place where I could just focus on sewing and making nice outfits for people. The shop is small and simple. We have a few racks and a workspace in the back where all the actual labor happens. It’s usually just me and one other person helping out. We spend our days cutting fabric and talking to people who drop in from the nearby offices. Since we are near the Collectorate, we get quite a few workers coming in during their lunch breaks or after they finish for the day. We aren't trying to be some high-fashion brand. We just want to provide decent clothes that fit well. Sometimes we run out of a certain thread color and have to go hunting for it, or we spend all afternoon trying to get a sleeve right. It’s the small things that take up most of our time. We like the pace of things here on Sastri Road. It feels like a neighborhood where people actually know each other. There's no corporate vibe here, just a small shop doing its thing.
